Sometimes anime, work, and vacation have an odd way of overlapping. I just got back from a more than 2 week vacation in England. While there I was able to visit Fortnum and Mason, a store that’s been around since 1707 and is where the Queen shops. The entire first floor is dedicated to teas, coffees, and sweets. So I picked up some cookies and an assortment of teas to bring back to my fellow FUNimation employees to enjoy.
Of course a Black Butler fan may recognize the store, Fortnum and Mason for another reason. In the second episode of the series Ciel is served tea from this British landmark.
I also got to visit Tower Bridge, which we see under construction at the end of Season One in the Black Butler animated series.

It’s Tea Time!
So steep up your favorite tea, and take a few minutes to indulge in some devilish delights by watching some Black Butler.

P.S. Advertisementfeather, why yes we can hear Sebastian saying that. I just have to pop on down the hall to the voice booth with J Michael Tatum in it. :P

You read this in his voice. Admit it.
Tea and cutlery oh my!
Not only is this a pretty awesome cosplay of Ciel from Black Butler, but the atmosphere of this cosplay photo is fantastic. Look at how absolutely perfect that background wallpaper is. All the tea and cutlery seems like just the type of things one-hell-of-a-butler would have at hand.

Tahaha as Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji
We asked you earlier today, what does Black Butler, Avatar the Last Airbender and Doctor Who have in common?
THE ANSWER IS TEA
The Phantomhive household is well stocked with a variety of exquisite tea blends. Throughout the series of Black Butler and we see tea brewed, served, and enjoyed many times throughout the series. There has long been a love affair between the Doctor and his tea in the long running British series. More recently, the Doctor (played by David Tennant) needed tea to help him through his ninth regeneration. And for Avatar the Last Airbender fans, everyone knows that Zuko’s uncle Iroh loves his tea.
QUESTION: What does Black Butler, Doctor Who and Avatar: The Last Airbender have in common?
For the answer, stay tuned. :)
IT’S OFFICIALLY NOW TEA TIME. EVERYBODY TAKE A BREAK.
Time to break out your favorite tea, and take a brief break to refresh yourself. What’s your favorite tea? Oolong? Ceylon? Jasmine? Early Grey? Darjeeling? Green tea? Black tea? or something else altogether?
Why do I suddenly have a craving to crack out the Ciel in Wonderland OVAs from Black Butler Season Two?
